Project Description: I was part of the original committee that founded the half marathon in 2009 and eventually became its solo race director. Over the span of eleven years, the Middlebury Maple Run welcomed as many as 1,000 runners for the half, a two-person relay, and 3-mile fun run. COVID caused the cancellation of the race in both 2020 and 2021, and it's unclear whether the race will continue in 2022. 

MMR has been one of Middlebury's largest athletic events and gained a solid reputation for its beautiful route and precise organization.
